Moving from Bullhorn without losing your history.

What a Bullhorn export contains, how Recruited maps it, and what happens at every step. You approve the numbers before anything goes live.

Pricing

Bullhorn pricing, and ours.

Both sides of this comparison are partly public. The part that is not public, and the unit each side is priced in, are what a buyer has to get right.

Bullhorn

Checked on 7 September 2026, bullhorn.com/pricing lists a price for its two smallest plans and asks visitors to get a quote for every larger plan and for its add-on products.

The page does not state a currency. Those figures are as listed; which currency they are in is not said, so confirm it with Bullhorn before setting them against anything priced in Australian dollars. We have not assumed a currency and we have not converted anything.

Recruited

Published, on the pricing page, in Australian dollars, excluding GST. Priced per workspace, with users included.

What moves

What comes across, and what does not.

The second list is the one worth reading. Every migration has one, and a vendor who does not show you theirs has not thought about it.

Comes across

  • Candidates, with their history
  • Clients and contacts
  • Opportunities and jobs
  • Applications and submissions
  • Placements
  • Notes and activities
  • Tags and lists
  • Users and record owners
  • Communications metadata
  • Attachments and full email bodies, where the export includes them
  • Anything the export leaves out

What survives a migration is decided by what your current system can produce, not by what the destination can read. The discovery step establishes that before you commit to anything.

  • Interface configuration

Custom fields map to fields. Screen layouts, saved views and dashboards are rebuilt in Recruited rather than carried over, because they describe a different interface.

  • Live mailbox contents

Communications metadata comes across, and message bodies where the export contains them. Your mailbox reconnects to Recruited and syncs forward from the day you authorise it.

  • Anything you have not seen

Nothing goes live until you have opened samples next to their source and approved the counts, category by category.

The process

Six steps, and no cutover you have not approved.

The same process for every source system. Nothing here happens to you without your say-so.

  1. Discovery, under confidentiality

What you hold, where it lives, and what your Bullhorn export produces. Before any data moves.

  2. You run the export

Written instructions and a list of the objects we expect to see. We never ask for your Bullhorn login.

  3. Staging and mapping

Files land in isolated staging with an expiry. You see the field-by-field mapping before you approve it.

  4. Dry run

Every row that could not be mapped, with the reason. Fix the mapping and run it again; rows update rather than duplicate.

  5. Reconciliation

Records exported against records created, per category, side by side. You pick the samples.

  6. Cutover, then deletion evidence

You go live on a date you set. Staging files are deleted on the agreed schedule and you get evidence of it.

Questions

What agencies ask before they move.

What does Bullhorn cost?

Checked on 7 September 2026, bullhorn.com/pricing lists a price for its two smallest plans, Bullhorn Starter at $99/user/month and Bullhorn Core at $165/user/month, and asks visitors to get a quote for every larger plan and for its add-on products. The page does not state a currency. We have no visibility of what any agency actually pays. Recruited publishes its prices: Basic is A$249/month excluding GST with 1 user included, and Pro is A$599/month excluding GST with 3 users included.

Are Bullhorn’s listed prices in Australian dollars?

The pricing page, as checked on 7 September 2026, does not say. The figures are listed as $99/user/month and $165/user/month with no currency stated, so confirm the currency with Bullhorn before you compare them to anything priced in Australian dollars. We have not assumed one, and we have not converted anything.

How do I compare per-user pricing with per-workspace pricing?

Bullhorn’s published plans are priced per user per month. Recruited is priced per workspace, with users included in the plan (1 on Basic, 3 on Pro) and a stated rate for each additional user (A$25/user/month on Basic, A$39/user/month on Pro). To compare, take your own headcount: multiply it by the per-user figure Bullhorn confirms for you, in the currency they confirm, and set it against the Recruited plan that fits with any additional users added. We have not done that sum here because your headcount is not ours to guess.

Can I export my data out of Bullhorn?

That is a question for Bullhorn and your agreement with them, and it is the first thing to establish. Our discovery step is about exactly this: what your export produces, in what format, and what is in it. Everything else follows from the answer.

Do our attachments and email history come across?

Where the Bullhorn export includes them. Attachments and full email bodies are migrated when the export contains the files and the message bodies; where it contains only metadata, that is what arrives. We tell you which yours is during discovery, before you commit.

Do you need access to our Bullhorn account?

No. You run the export and send us the files. We do not ask for your login to any system, and a migration that requires handing over a credential is a migration you should question.

What if we start and change our minds?

You can stop at any point before cutover, and nothing has changed in your current system because nothing was ever taken out of it. You also keep full export from Recruited afterwards, on every plan, so the same question is answerable in the other direction.

Switching

Start with the discovery, not the contract.

The first conversation is about what your export produces. If the answer is bad, you should know that before you have agreed to anything.
