Cookies and browser storage

Short, because there is very little to tell you.
The short version
This website sets no non-essential cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no chat widget and no third-party script anywhere on it. Nothing you do here is shared with anybody else.
The controls below record a preference for if that changes. Neither button switches anything on today, because there is nothing to switch on.
What is stored in your browser
Two things, both strictly first-party, neither identifying you, and neither sent anywhere:
- Whether you dismissed the announcement bar, so it does not come back on the next page.
- Your analytics preference, if you set one below.
Both are held in your browser’s local storage rather than in a cookie, which means they are never attached to a request to our server. Clearing your browser storage removes them.
If we add analytics
We would choose a privacy-conscious provider, name it on this page and in the privacy policy before switching it on, and honour the preference you set here.
Some things would not be sent to it regardless of your preference, because that is a rule about what we collect rather than a setting you can change: your name, your email address, free text you type into a form, and anything in a URL that could identify a person or a candidate.

You can change this at any time by coming back to this page.
The application
The authenticated product at app.recruited.com.au uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. It is strictly necessary for the product to function at all, so it is not covered by the preference above and cannot be declined while staying signed in.
That cookie holds a signed session token. It does not hold your password, and it cannot be used to authenticate against any other product.

What counsel needs to decide
Every open question in this document, in one list. Each appears in place above as well.
- The contracting entity and its ACN or ABN. Every document has to name who the agreement is with. Currently written as “Recruited.com.au”, which is a product name rather than a legal person.
- A registered address for notices. A notices clause without an address does not work, and the website deliberately publishes no address until one is approved.
Marking this document approved in site/content/legal.js removes this list, the drafting notes and the banner together, and the build then refuses to publish a document with an unresolved marker still in it.
